Each year Salt Lake Community College holds open tryouts to anyone that has a desire to cheer or dance for Salt Lake Community College Sports Teams and plan on taking a minimum of 9 credit hours per semester at SLCC.
As a Cheerleader, Yell Leader, or Songleader you have the opportunity to cheer the Salt Lake Community College sports teams on to victory!
Our Athletic Teams are always ranked very high and do very well against those other teams in our region. Such as Snow College, College of Eastern Utah and the College of Southern Idaho! (Big rivalry between SLCC and CSI)
We cheer at all home games and some away games depending on the location. If you enjoy being in front of a crowd, meeting new people, being on a team and have cheerleading, partner stunting or dance experience, we would love for you to come and tryout for the Salt Lake Community College Cheerleading, Yell leading and Dance Team!!

Why be a part of the SLCC Cheer team?
Not only is Cheering and Dancing fun, it is also a great way for you to pay for a portion of your schooling.
*SLCC Cheerleaders, Yell Leaders and Dancers are rewarded with a half tuition waiver each semester!*
You will have the opportunity to do fundraiser's and service projects with the sports teams at SLCC.
Need to prepare for tryouts?
There are multiple Cheerleading gyms across the Salt Lake area that hold open gym sessions for co-ed stunting. Here are two popular gyms and their locations, etc:
